Alphabetical letters: It's helpful for 1) a single-letter word (similar to A, B, etc.) and 2) very brief words (e.g. "to", "he", and so on.) to slim down the phrases and pages in the listing.
For best end result, input the primary few letters in the search box, then make a selection the alphetical letter (and web page number if wanted), and click on on the blue link.Don't put out of your mind to click on back to "All" whilst you search every other word.
If you cannot find a word but you'll be able to nonetheless see a list of hyperlinks, then keep looking until the links disappear! Practice your alphabetical index ability or do eye-sharpening. :)
Add a Word: This dictionary isn't exhaustive; ASL signs are repeatedly added to the dictionary. If you don't find a phrase/sign, you'll ship your request (provided that a single hyperlink doesn't display in the outcome).
Grammar: Use the present-time verbs and base words. If you search for "said", glance up the phrase "say". Likewise, for those who look for an adjective word, check out the noun or vice versa. E.g. Variations: Some ASL signs have regional (and generational) permutations throughout North America. Common variations are integrated, however specifically local permutations aren't incorporated. Interact together with your area people to be told their variations.
Inflection: Many ASL words, particularly verbs, in the dictionary are a "base"; bear in mind that many of them are grammatically inflectable inside of ASL sentences.
